MedStar’s internationally accredited 911 center participated in this important study about 911 callers requesting EMS for a possible heart attack victim.
Participating in research helps all 911 centers become more effective in EMS call taking, and implement any revisions to the Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) call taking process.
Only 126 of the tens of thousands 911 call centers have achieved accreditation by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch, only 7 in Texas.
Accreditation demonstrates the highest EMD call taking performance, and the deepest commitment to external verification of quality processes and performance.
