Just last week, we covered THREE SIMULTANEOUS mutual aid requests from the city of Burleson to cover EMS calls in their city.
In partnership with the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM), the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), and the North Central Texas Regional Trauma Advisory Council (NCTTRAC), MedStar is also a key component of local, regional, state, and national major Medical Incident Support Teams (MIST) deploying personnel, ambulances, and our AMBUS to large incidents.
Staffed with our specially trained Disaster Response Team personnel, our grant-funded AMBUS serves as a mobile medical clinic, rehab unit, or can be used to transport up to 20 patients at a time to healthcare facilities.
